Location: Liverpool
Salary: £45,000-£49,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Position Summary
As a Packing Technician you will work as part of a high‑performing team to deliver consistent, world‑class results. The role involves close communication with both upstream and downstream functions, proactively identifying, resolving, and escalating issues to ensure smooth and efficient production. Responsibilities span product preparation, processing and supporting associated warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
Comply fully with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Promote and maintain a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture
Carry out routine safety and quality inspections, raising concerns using the correct reporting tools
Operate and monitor complex manufacturing and packing equipment
Perform product preparation, processing, packing, and booking away activities
Carry out product, recipe, and size changeovers efficiently and accurately
Take a hands‑on approach to restoring equipment and work areas to basic condition
Maintain accurate production shift logs and data capture to support downtime reduction
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding safety, quality, and production issues
Support warehouse operations as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Experience working within a continuous process manufacturing environment
Proven track record of working to and achieving production targets
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards
Effective problem‑solving skills
Good IT skills, including data capture and reporting
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while remaining self‑motivated
Desirable
Experience within manufacturing
FLT licence
Mechanical or electrical engineering experience
