Bracknell Forest Borough Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Older People's Mental Health (OPMH) service on a temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with 2+ years' post-qualifying experience to work within a supportive local authority team, applying strength-based and person-centred practice to improve outcomes for residents. Key Details Role: Social Worker - OPMH Location: Church Hill House, Bracknell Forest Rate: £37.90 umbrella Contract: Temporary Working Pattern: Full-time Service Area: Older People's Mental Health Key Responsibilities Apply a strength-based approach to support individuals by connecting them with their communities and social networks. Work collaboratively with service users, carers and advocates to develop person-centred, outcome-focused care plans that maximise independence, choice and control. Act in the best interests of individuals lacking capacity, in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005). Support the arrangement, implementation and review of person-centred plans. Operate within relevant legislation, national and local policy, and social work best practice. Maintain accurate and timely case recording, sharing information appropriately in line with legislation and local procedures. Undertake the role of Safeguarding Assessing Officer where required. Participate in the Duty Rota. Manage a caseload appropriate to experience and service needs. Take an active role in professional supervision. Be professionally accountable for all aspects of practice.
