Working Foreman with structures background - Birmingham, B37 6UD
A chance to work on the largest Infrastructure project in the UK, spanning over the next 5-7 years (HS2)
Pay rate: £26.17 per hour PAYE
Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)
Overtime:
Monday – Friday - Time and a third after 10 hours
Nights – Time and a third
Sat & Sunday and night all hours –Time and a half
Candidates must have:
- CSCS Black or CSCS Gold
- SMSTS
- Experience in structural civil infrastructure work
- Driving licence
An Earthworks Foreman you will oversees construction projects involving earth-moving operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Overseeing reshaping and stabilizing the land itself, any fill in operations, slope stabilization and compaction of soil.
Role Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Coordinate and oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and SHEQ standards.
* Plan, programme, and monitor site activities in line with the construction programme to achieve timely and high-quality project delivery.
* Interpret blueprints, plans, and engineering specifications with precision. Ensure understanding and compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality systems.
* Lead and supervise crews of skilled workers, ensuring optimal productivity and safety adherence.
* Collaborate with engineers and other trades to seamlessly execute complex projects.
* Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all work meets rigorous standards.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and suitability for future works.
* Monitor site performance, quality, safety, and environmental controls, addressing defects, variations, and non-compliances promptly.
* Deliver toolbox talks, task briefings, and ensure accurate site records, diaries, and quality checklists are maintained

Lodge allowance: you can be entitled to this if you live 50 miles away from site. You can receive £50.13 per day everyday you work.
