The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Health & Social Care to join a successful and forward-thinking sixth form environment. This is a chance to become part of a supportive, ambitious team that is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for students.You’ll be joining a dynamic Health, Science and Enterprise faculty, delivering engaging and high-quality teaching to learners on Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care programmes, with opportunities to contribute more widely across related curriculum areas.
The RoleAs Teacher of Health & Social Care, you will:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Develop and maintain engaging learning resources
- Track and monitor student performance, supporting progression and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Deliver enrichment activities and support external visits
- Take part in marketing, open events and outreach activities to support student recruitment
- Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty and wider organisation
The PersonWe are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and commitment to everything they do. The ideal candidate will:
- Have a degree in a relevant subject
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
- Have recent experience teaching Health & Social Care at Level 2 and Level 3
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
- Be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Be adaptable, well-organised and a strong team player
- Be committed to equality, diversity and the safeguarding of young people
- Experience of delivering strong outcomes and the ability to teach additional related subjects would be advantageous.
