Compliance Officer (Fostering and Special Guardianship Service)

Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer (Fostering and Special Guardianship Service)to join their team based in South London    JOB DETAILS PAY RATE: £30 per hour WORK TYPE: Temporary WORK PATTERN: Full Time LOCATION: South London     JOB SUMMARY The compliance officer will play a key part of the Fostering and Permanency Service working across fostering support, fostering recruitment, the special guardianship team and the fostering panel as required to oversee the regulatory compliance elements of the approval process as well as ensuring the ongoing adherence to own procedures in terms of checks and medicals and identify strategies to strengthen the current practice. As a Compliance Officer you will take the lead in initiation of DBS and Local Authority checks for Foster Carers, Special Guardians, their Adult household members and nominated Back up carers. Renewal of these checks in line with local policy. In addition, checks will also be required for new approvals, there are other checks e.g. with health visitors for prospective foster carers with young children and Ofsted for childminders.  THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies: Experience in Children's services and foster care delivery.  Be able to demonstrate good understanding of Fostering minimum Standards, Fostering Legislation, and safeguarding Please be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.
