Cover Teacher – Durham Secondary Schools
Flexible work available, £140 to £170 per day, ASAP start.
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Teachers for secondary schools across Durham. If you're a qualified teacher looking for flexible work without the commitment of a permanent contract, this could be the perfect opportunity.
You'll deliver pre prepared lessons across different schools when teachers are absent, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students stay engaged with their learning. Whether you want full time consistent work or just a few days per week, we can match you with schools that suit your availability.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering pre prepared lessons across various subjects at KS3 to KS5
- Managing classroom behaviour in different school settings
- Ensuring students complete the work set by their regular teacher
- Adapting quickly to different schools and their systems
You need:
- QTS
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom management and behaviour skills
- Flexibility and confidence working in different environments
- Good communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional references covering the last two years
