Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Design Engineer Location Hybrid working from our clients office near Old Trafford, Manchester Our Client An engineering design consultancy working closely with a wide range of clients, across a number of disciplines within the UK Water, rail, and utilities industries. Role Profile: * Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements. * Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team. * Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates. * Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications. * Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards. * Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded. * Undertake work using formal processes and procedures. * Estimate hours required for design packages. * Attend and present designs at ALM, KM meetings and similar The Projects you’ll be working on: Varied projects across the UK water industry, AMP7 & AMP8 including: * Designs of UMON 3 and 4 upgrades at sewage treatment works nationwide * Designs of clean water main replacements nationwide What we require from you: * 5-10 years’ relevant design experience in the water industry * Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level * Good level of IT skills * Registered with professional body and working towards chartership Preferred Qualifications and Experience: * Experience with both clean and dirty water * Awareness of construction methods and materials. * Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices
