Working 3 Days from the Office in London (EC4V) and 2 Days from Home JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst to join Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited, part of one of the world’s largest integrated trading groups. As a Credit Risk Analyst you will support the Trade Risk Management function, providing credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and stakeholder advisory services across multiple business groups and European subsidiaries. This role involves transaction analysis, structuring, and risk mitigation. Working as a Credit Risk Analyst you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contribute to operational improvements, and help enhance profitability while supporting a culture of innovation, inclusion, and responsible business practices. WHY JOIN US? * Stunning views of the River Thames from our newly refurbished London office space with excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere * Contribute to work that supports sustainability, innovation and global responsibility Apply early to avoid missing out – successful candidates will hear from us in May/June 2026 DUTIES Your duties as the Credit Risk Analyst include: * Provide Credit Risk Analysis: Assess credit and transactional risks across trading activities and propose mitigation strategies * Support Business Functions: Act as an in-house advisor to departments, enhancing profitability and managing exposure * Manage Credit Processes: Handle internal credit applications and monitor credit balances * Conduct Transaction Reviews: Analyse deals at all stages, identifying risks and recommending solutions * Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams and external parties to support risk management activities * Customer Interaction: Attend customer meetings where required to address risk-related matters * Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to enhance risk management operations and implement improvements * Monitor Performance: Review customer financial performance, ageing, and collections * Mitigate Losses: Take proactive action to minimise financial risk and prevent losses CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL * Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline * Previous experience in credit risk analysis or financial risk management within a trading company or financial institution * Experience advising stakeholders in a multinational or corporate environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines * Strong report writing and presentation skills * Proficient in prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities * A collaborative team player with a proactive approach DESIRABLE * Experience with trading contracts and identifying contractual risks * Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies within trading or finance environments BENEFITS Competitive salary (£45,000 - £65,000 per annum) plus benefits Hybrid working – 3 days working in the office in London per week with 2 days working from home 25 days annual leave + flexible working hours Flexi time credits for hours worked beyond 35 hours per week, with line manager approval Working Away - Up to 20 calendar days to work from any location either in the country you work in or overseas Life assurance, pension scheme, dental, bonus scheme Free annual health check Free onsite gym with pool and classes 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme Training and development tailored to your goals NO AGENCIES PLEASE HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
