Job Title: Geography Teacher Location: East London Start Date: 1 September 2026 Salary: £37,870 to £50,474 Contract: Permanent Are you an experienced Geography Teacher or Geography ECT looking for a permanent teaching role in a high achieving secondary school?    Do you set high expectations for your students, supporting them to meet their full potential, across the full Geography curriculum? Do you have confident classroom presence, consistently engaging students of all abilities in your lessons and with their assessments? We are proud to be working with this high achieving 11-18 secondary school in East London; they are seeking a knowledgeable and confident Geography Teacher to join their well-run Humanities Department from September 2026. In this role, you will teach across the full Geography curriculum at KS3 and KS4; the school is open to discussing KS5 teaching as well. The school uses the AQA exam board for both GCSE and A level, therefore curriculum knowledge in these areas would be beneficial. Teachers and leaders at this large secondary school set high expectations for both staff and students, promoting academic excellence across all subjects and maintaining good behaviour. Educational excursions and trips are encouraged to supplement in-class learning with practical and immersive experiences. Though behaviour can be challenging, the school employs a clear behaviour policy with an emphasis on positive reinforcement and community.
