Security Engineer

Position: Security Installation Engineer Job ID: 3612/1 Location: Bedfordshire (covering Bedford, Herefordshire & Cambridge) Rate/Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 depending on experience + Overtime + Call Out Benefits: Overtime paid, call out rota, travel time paid after first hour each way, 20–25 days holiday (based on service) Type: Permanent / Full Time HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Fire & Security, Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Maritime Shipping, Energy and Subsea sectors. The below job description outlines the position of: Security Installation Engineer Typically, this person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and occasional servicing of electronic security systems and gate automation across commercial and residential client sites. The role will involve fault finding, preventative maintenance and delivering high-quality installations in line with industry standards. Duties and Responsibilities: * Installation of intruder alarms, CCTV systems and gate automation * Carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing of security systems * Attending breakdowns and call-outs as part of a rota * Diagnosing and resolving faults across electronic security systems * Completing small associated electrical remedial works where required Qualifications and Requirements: * Proven experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems * Experience with intruder alarms, CCTV and/or gate automation * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively * Good communication skills when dealing with clients on site This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical Ltd who have been appointed to act as a recruitment partner for this role
