Smile Education are proud to be representing The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join one of their secondary special schools in Tamworth on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and inclusive environment, helping students with additional needs to thrive both academically and personally. About the Role You will support students aged 11–19 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities. Working both in class and on a one-to-one basis, you’ll play a key role in supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development. Key responsibilities include: Supporting students in lessons and through tailored interventions Promoting positive behaviour and implementing de-escalation strategies Encouraging social and emotional development Working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging learning activities Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environmentAbout You Holds a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (essential) Has recent experience supporting children or young people with SEN Confident in behaviour management and able to remain calm under pressure Passionate, proactive, and adaptable in approach Strong communication and teamwork skillsRequirements Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Minimum of two references covering the last two years (including one child-based reference)About the Trust & School The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust is committed to encouraging every member of its community to be the best they can be, underpinned by strong values of equity, respect, and opportunity.
