EC&I Control Room Engineer Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. AWE is currently recruiting an EC&I Engineer to join our Control Room operations, providing round-the-clock (24/7) monitoring of critical electrical and electronic systems. This role is suited to an experienced EC&I professional with a strong background in fault finding and system diagnostics who is confident making informed, engineer led decisions when issues arise while consistently maintaining the highest safety standards. We're seeking a calm, decisive professional who thrives in a safety-critical environment and can remain composed under pressure. Who are we looking for? What will you be responsible for? 24/7 monitoring of electrical and electronic systems within a control room setting Ensuring full compliance with company instructions, procedures, safe systems of work and health & safety requirements Monitoring and responding to alarms and events across HVAC, Fire Systems and SIDS Fault finding and diagnostics across multiple integrated systems Planning for system failures, understanding operational impact and supporting mitigation strategies Analysing system data to identify trends and produce clear, accurate reports To be considered, you will need: A minimum of NVQ Level 3,ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic or EC&I disciplines, or a completed apprenticeship in one of these areas Extensive hands-on experience working with EC&I systems Working knowledge of HVAC and Fire Systems Willingness and capability to work in restrictive PPE and hazardous environments Flexibility and commitment to working a 24/7 shift pattern Experience using data analysis to identify trends and support reporting Strong communication skills with the ability to make sound engineering decisions A calm and methodical approach, particularly in safety critical situations Work hard, be rewarded: We ask a lot and set the bar high because our work truly matters.
