Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools Location: Lincoln Salary: £100 – £130 per day Start Date: ASAP / September Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Day-to-day / Long-term GSL Education is seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or transition into a career in education. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across KS3 and KS4 Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Ensure a positive and productive learning environment Support students with their learning during lessons Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, or youth work) Strong behaviour management and communication skills Confidence leading a classroom independently A flexible and professional approach An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What GSL Education Offers: Competitive daily pay rates (£100 – £130) Flexible work to suit your availability Opportunities across a range of secondary schools Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant A pathway into teaching or further education roles Please keep in mind that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
