A thriving Alternative Provision in Oldham is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to support secondary-aged students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This specialist setting supports pupils who have struggled in mainstream education due to behavioural needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The provision offers a structured, nurturing environment where students can rebuild confidence, develop positive behaviours, and re-engage with learning.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting both academic engagement and personal development. Working with small classes and within a strong pastoral framework, you'll provide consistent, tailored support that makes a genuine difference every day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and pastoral support
* Support students with challenging behaviour and emotional dysregulation
* Help develop positive coping strategies and behaviour routines
* Encourage engagement with learning and structured activities
* Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies
* Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
* Contribute to behaviour plans and monitor student progress
