HSEQ Advisor

HSEQ Advisor Location: North East Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + uplift for night work Job Type: Full-time We are currently recruiting for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join an established contractor in the north east. This is an office-based role with regular travel to site, with the position split approximately 50/50 between day and night shift work. Night shifts will attract an uplift in pay. The role would suit an HSEQ professional with a general construction background. Civils or Highways experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Key Responsibilities: * Provide HSEQ support and guidance across the business and sites * Carry out site inspections, audits and investigations * Support risk assessments, method statements and HSEQ documentation * Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation * Work closely with site and operational teams to maintain high standards * Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions * Promote a positive health and safety culture * Support continuous improvement across HSEQ processes The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience in an HSEQ/H&S Advisor role * Construction experience essential * NEBOSH or relevant H&S qualification * Good understanding of UK health & safety legislation * Confident carrying out site inspections and working with operational teams * Comfortable travelling to sites and working occasional night shifts * Civils experience advantageous £45,000–£55,000 + night shift uplift If you're an experienced HSEQ professional looking for a varied role combining office and site-based work, apply now or get in touch for more information
