We have an exciting new vacancy for a Chef Manager to join our team at The Britannia Hotel in Manchester city centre! Our 363-room, Grade II listed hotel is ideally situated on the busy Portland Street, opposite Piccadilly Gardens bus station and just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station making it ideal for commuting.

Your Duties Will Include:
Managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
Leading, motivating, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver excellent results
Preparing and presenting a wide range of dishes, from la carte menus to large-scale banquets and events
Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods
Planning and developing menus using fresh, seasonal produce while considering current food trends and dietary requirements
Managing food costs, stock levels, ordering, and kitchen resources to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
Monitoring food deliveries and maintaining effective stock control procedures
Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Managing staffing levels, rotas, and supporting team development and training
What Were Looking For:
A passionate and experienced Chef Manager with a strong background in a professional kitchen environment
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A creative and commercially aware approach to menu planning and kitchen management
Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
