About The Role Role: IT Technician Location: Stevenage, SG1 4SZ Contract Type – Permanent, Full time Working Hours and Days: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week) Salary - £27,000   About Restore Technology Restore Technology is a specialist provider of secure IT lifecycle services, supporting organisations with data security, hardware testing and technology solutions. Ultratest is a key part of Restore Technology, delivering robust hardware systems that enable customers to test, erase and manage IT equipment safely, efficiently and at scale.   About the Role We are looking for a hands-on IT Technician to support the day-to-day technical operations of Ultratest. This role is critical to the build, testing and deployment of our Genesis and Nemesis systems, while also supporting first-line technical queries, stock management and logistics. You will play a key part in ensuring our products are built accurately, delivered on time and continuously improved, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.   Duties & Responsibilities Build, assemble and prepare Genesis and Nemesis systems for deployment Carry out system configuration, diagnostics and quality checks Assemble and prepare hardware components including sleds, JBODs and storage devices Ensure systems meet quality and documentation standards prior to dispatch Review and triage first-line technical support tickets, resolving basic technical issues and escalate complex faults with accurate diagnostics Manage the booking in and out of systems and components & maintain accurate stock records and organise storage areas Support shipping, returns and general logistics coordination Assist with hardware testing and provide feedback to support product improvements Occasional travel to attend on-site erasures, as required  About You Basic to intermediate understanding of IT hardware and components Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical procedures Organised and methodical with good record-keeping skills Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues and use a logical approach to problems Confident communicator and effective team player Experience building or repairing computer systems, exposure to ticketing systems or interest in hardware development would be desirable Full Clean Driving Licence  What We Offer You: Restore offers a wide range of benefits to our employees such as: Life assurance Annual leave entitlement (starting with 20 – 25 days + bank holidays) Contributory pension scheme Share save scheme Paid volunteer day Long service recognition Eyecare voucher Retail discounts Family leave Employee assistance programme  At Restore Technology, we value innovation, teamwork, and personal development.
