Science Teacher – SEMH School (Windsor) Location: Windsor Contract: Full-time / Permanent (part-time considered) Start Date: As soon as possible An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and resilient Science Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Windsor, supporting young people who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education. The school provides a highly personalised curriculum for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, supporting them to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve meaningful outcomes. The Role Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse SEMH needs Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils Support pupils’ emotional regulation and personal development alongside academic progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including pastoral staff and SEN professionals Use creative, practical, and experiential learning strategiesThe Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or strong unqualified experience in specialist settings Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision (essential) Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management strategies A calm, patient, and reflective approach to teaching Commitment to inclusive education and trauma-informed practice Confidence delivering Science in a flexible, non-mainstream settingWhat’s on Offer Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios A supportive, values-led working environment Opportunities to innovate and teach creatively Strong focus on staff wellbeing and development The chance to make a genuine, lasting difference to young people’s lives📩 To apply or find out more, please contact: (url removed)
