Operations Director

Operations Director | Hemel Hempstead | £110,000 Do you have a background in field operations and managing multiple technical projects at scale? If so, this could be the role for you. We are working with a fast-paced, global technology business with a strong UK footprint and an impressive client portfolio. They design, deploy and support technology solutions at scale across the hospitality and retail sectors, and their operations function is central to everything they deliver. The Role Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a large, multi-disciplined team across supply chain, deployment project management and field technician scheduling. This is a hands-on leadership role with real breadth. You will be coordinating the end-to-end delivery of technology installations into live and new-build commercial sites across the UK, managing the flow of high-value stock and ensuring engineers and project managers are deployed effectively. You will also be a visible, customer-facing leader, attending quarterly business reviews and representing the operations function externally. What You Will Be Responsible For •Leading and developing a team of project managers, deployment managers and technician scheduling teams •Overseeing supply chain operations, ensuring high-value stock arrives in the right place at the right time •Coordinating the deployment of technology into retail and hospitality sites nationally •Hybrid working with travel across two operational hubs, primarily Hemel Hempstead and a northern site •Driving performance, structure and scalability across the operations function •Contributing at senior leadership level as part of a close-knit director team What We Are Looking For •A proven operations leader with experience managing large, diverse teams in a fast-paced environment •Strong project and supply chain awareness, you do not need to be a specialist in either but you need to understand how they interact •Excellent people skills, this business has a varied multi-site workforce and you will need to bring people with you •Customer-facing confidence, you will be comfortable in a room with senior client stakeholders •Organised, pragmatic and calm under pressure, there are a lot of plates spinning here Sector background is open. What matters is that you understand operational complexity and know how to lead through it.
