An exceptional SEN school in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Science Teacher with a specialist in Physics and Chemistry to join their team from September 2026 on a 1-year long-term placement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an Ofsted-rated outstanding specialist provision supporting students with Autism (ASD) and associated complex needs in a highly structured, nurturing and well-resourced environment.

The Role
As a Part-Time Science Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging KS3 & KS4 Science, specialising in Physics and Chemistry
- Adapt and differentiate learning for students with ASD and complex needs
- Work closely with experienced TAs to support engagement and progress
- Deliver practical, accessible and hands-on Science lessons
- Support both academic progress and social-emotional development
- Contribute to a calm, structured and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics and/or Chemistry
- Experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable)
- A calm, patient and adaptable teaching style
- Confidence supporting learners with ASD and additional needs
- A passion for inclusive education and making Science accessible to all learners
