Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. With campuses in East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow, and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) in Canning Town, we serve over 11,000 students across a range of pathways – including 16–18 study, adult education, apprenticeships, and higher education.

The Role.
To assist with the management of apprenticeship recruitment, T-level reviews, employer partnerships, and programme delivery to ensure high apprentice achievement, excellent employer satisfaction, and strong compliance with apprenticeship and T-Level funding rules and college requirements. You will be a key link between employers, students and delivery teams, ensuring employers receive a high quality service.
Key responsibilities.
- Act as the main point of contact for employers, apprentices, and delivery teams.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen employer partnerships to support recruitment, programme delivery, and progression opportunities.
- Promote Business Development activity and wider College apprenticeship provision to employers.
- Maintain regular communication with employers to ensure satisfaction and high-quality delivery.
- Working with employers to identify skills needs and align training to workforce development priorities.
- Promote and coordinate employer engagement in non-funded, full-cost commercial courses and bespoke training solutions.
Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
- Level 3+ qualification with GCSE English and Maths (grade 4-9/A-C)
- Strong employer engagement and partnership experience
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship funding and compliance
- Experience of tracking and monitoring student progress
- Confident presenting, influencing, and managing your own workload
Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults

These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Children’s Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
