We are looking for:
A Customer Service-Focused, Key Account Operator based in our Manchester branch, where you'll be at the forefront of building, managing, and nurturing the relationship with one of our most valued clients. This role is all about delivering excellence, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Key Account customers, ensuring they receive top-tier customer service.

What you will be doing as a Customer Service Operator:
- You will be the first point of contact for all matters related to your Key Account customers, ensuring they always feel supported and valued.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to swiftly obtain and relay delivery status updates, keeping your Key Account customers informed and reassured.
- Provide timely and relevant updates to your Key Account customers through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and emails, building strong relationships and trust.
- Escalate any additional charges to your line manager before discussing them with customers, ensuring a smooth and transparent process.
- Ensure all information for quote preparation and consignment processing is fully compliant with HMRC customs regulations, keeping everything on track and above board.
- Provide a variety of customised quotes to meet your customers’ evolving needs, helping them succeed while winning business for the company.
- Verify that commodity codes and invoices are accurate and processed for dispatch, ensuring a seamless and error-free operation.
- Quickly escalate and resolve any problematic issues, ensuring they are addressed efficiently and effectively.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for providing timely, clear, and relevant updates to customers and stakeholders.
- The ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Key Account customers.
- Organisational abilities to manage the entire customer service cycle efficiently and ability to solve problems quickly
- Understanding of HMRC customs regulations and compliance requirements would be desirable.
- Efficiently manage time to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with customer service databases
