SEN Tutor / Qualified Teacher – Southwark £25–£35 per hour PAYE + Paid Planning & Preparation Time Equivalent to approximately £30–£42 per hour Location: Southwark and surrounding areas Hours: Flexible Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities New Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Tutors and Qualified Teachers to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for children and young people aged 5–25 across Southwark and surrounding areas. This rewarding role is ideal for Qualified Teachers, SEN Tutors, HLTAs, Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors, Youth Workers, and experienced education professionals looking for flexible work that makes a genuine difference. You will support learners who may be unable to access full-time education, require additional SEND support, or be working towards reintegration into education. Learners May Present With: • Autism (ASC) • ADHD • SEMH needs • Dyslexia and literacy difficulties • Speech and Language Needs • Anxiety and EBSA • EHCP-linked needs • Alternative Provision and EOTAS pathways The Role: • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions • Support learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE and Functional Skills • Adapt learning to individual needs and learning styles • Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and confidence • Support both academic progress and personal development • Complete session reports and progress updates • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals Tuition Takes Place In: • Homes • Libraries • Community venues • Schools and alternative provisions Requirements: ✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and/or relevant tutoring experience ✔ Minimum 1 year of experience supporting children or young people ✔ Experience working with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia ✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills ✔ Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one ✔ Right to work in the UK What We Offer: ⭐ £25–£35 per hour PAYE ⭐ Paid Planning & Preparation Time (equivalent to approximately £30–£42 per hour) ⭐ Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities ⭐ Local learner placements across Southwark ⭐ Long-term assignments available ⭐ Ongoing CPD and training opportunities ⭐ Dedicated safeguarding and tutor support ⭐ Opportunities to make a meaningful difference every day Whether you're an experienced tutor looking to expand your diary or a qualified teacher seeking a more flexible role outside of the traditional classroom, we'd love to hear from you.
