Senior Structural Engineer Location: Sevenoaks Type: Full-Time | Permanent A well-established medium-sized engineering consultancy based in Sevenoaks is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The consultancy works across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, retail, and industrial developments. The Senior Structural Engineer role; You will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, working closely with senior leadership, clients, architects, and contractors. Responsibilities will include: Leading the design and delivery of structural projects across multiple sectors Producing structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings Managing project programmes, budgets, and technical delivery Coordinating with internal and external design teams Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians Undertaking site visits, inspections, and client meetings Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and current design standards Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships Requirements of this Senior Structural Engineer role; Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering Chartered Engineer status preferred or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) Strong experience designing in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK construction standards Experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, Tedds, MasterSeries, or similar Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Clear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy Support towards Chartership and continued professional development Varied and technically interesting projects Friendly and collaborative team environment Flexible working arrangements availableIf you are an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer looking to join a respected consultancy where you can make a real impact, we would love to hear from you
