SW-007-VoidMul-256 Plumber Multi-Trader £24 - £25 per hour Working for a maintenance contractor in their voids team Long term temp Voids will be in Andover area Position good to knows * This is a temp role covering a voids contract in the Andover area covering an hour drive radius of this * You will need a full UK Driving Licence as a van will be supplied by the client but will need your own tools * Initially the temp period will be 3/4 months before being extended or a temp-to-perm being offered * Additional travel time could be paid jobs outside of geographical remit You will be working for an established Maintenance Contractor within the inhouse maintenance delivery team who carry out full void refurbs to a Housing Association’s portfolio of properties. This role will be working within the contractors voids team covering Andover (Hampshire) Postcodes. **You must have a full UK driving licence** Key elements of the role and your responsibilities * You will be working in Andover postcodes * Here you will be focused on turning around void (empty) properties in a safe and timely manner, achieving a finish to be proud of * For this role you should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade of plumbing and then the ability to undertake a range of multi-trade duties including: * Like for like carpentry works * Tiling (mainly splash backs) * Painting and decorating * Patch plastering * Kitchen fitting * Bathroom upgrades * General property maintenance * Please note that NO electric or gas work will be required to be undertaken in this role, as this work will be undertaken by other trades. * Experience of working on void or the refurbishment of empty residential properties is a must and ideally in a social housing setting * As a Multi Skilled operative you will deliver a good quality of work which meets the finished specifications and expectations so the property can be quickly re-let * Your work will be a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks undertaken in each property * Work closely with schedulers and planners to meet contract SLA delivery in a timely manner * The ability to advise your supervisor on any issues or challenges that require additional support * Work both on your own or sometimes in a team if other trades are required to complete a repair element * Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken * Working in a timely and productive manner What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the You should have a NVQ Level 2 or be “time served” Your own 110v power tools and hand tools Basic IT skills as you will be using a PDA SOR codes knowledge is desirable Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works Previous experience of social housing repairs, voids, or planned works Adher to company health and safety guidelines Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders Problem solving and decision making Attention to detail Accountability and initiative Flexibility and adaptability **You must a full UK driving licence** Hours and pay * £24 - £25 per hour * 3/4 Month Temp role * Van supplied * Working hours of 7.30am – 4.30pm (9hrs paid) * Upskilling and development * Positive flexible environment Next step to apply for this Multi-Trade role: As a candidate ideally with similar experience, you will already know the technical specifications of this role, but following your application of interest, you will have the role explained in more detail ITS Property Maintenance are acting as an employment business for this vacancy To achieve the upper pay bracket you must show good experience of working on social housing void contracts.
