Recognised as a multi-award-winning business, they are known for innovation, reliability, and delivering complex projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Kettering.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from design coordination through to installation and commissioning.
You will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, programme delivery, and quality across projects, with a strong focus on healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Assist with technical submittals and ensure timely approvals
Support the management of RFIs and technical queries
Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site teams
Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with design and standards
Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are delivered to specification
Contribute to snagging, quality checks, and project close-out
Ensure materials and equipment are available in line with programme
Attend site and coordination meetings as required
About You
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer who is looking to develop within a fast-paced project environment.
Essential:
Experience in a Mechanical Engineer role within building services or construction
Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems
Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Desirable:
Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects
Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar)
