Print Finishing Inspection Operator

We are currently recruiting for a prestigious and leading specialist print company based in Bury St Edmunds, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Print Finishing Inspection Operator on a permanent basis to start asap. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team in their purpose-built production site. Permanent role Training will be completed on an 8.30am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday shift. After a successful integration period the shift will change to a 3-day – 12 hours a day shift pattern. Week 1 - 5:50am - 18:40pm – Monday, Thursday and Friday Week 2 - 5:50am - 18:40pm – Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday Overtime will be available. (paid at 1.5 x hourly rate) Purpose of the role: Setting up and running finishing machinery for self-adhesive labels and multi-page products. Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring job instructions are followed to specification and work is completed to schedule. Handling printed products. Identify and work with different types of materials, such as PET liners, and glassine materials. Set up and operate on machine inline inspection systems To actively participate in the finishing team, communicating well towards right first-time approach. Unloading finished reels and label each reel with correct details. Be responsible for checking labels in the last stages of their process and have the confidence and initiative to raise any concerns around quality. Knowledge and skills and attributes Ability to understand procedures and work within tight job specifications under ISO9001 Previous experience within the print or packaging industry (desirable but not essential) Able to work in fast paced, quality conscious environment. Good attention to detail with a flexible attitude within the workplace.
