Senior Site Manager – Tier 1 Contractor (Temp to Perm) Location: Caerleon Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + package Project Value: £19.5m Duration: 65 weeks (with long-term pipeline in South Wales and Bristol area) Start Date: Immediate A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis for a major education project in Caerleon. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with a strong order book across the South West and Wales, and ambitious plans to expand its white-collar team significantly over the next 12 months. The Role You will take a key leadership position on a £19.5m traditional build school project, acting as the link between the Project Manager and Site Managers. This role is heavily site-focused initially, with increasing strategic responsibility as additional projects come online. Key responsibilities include: * Overseeing day-to-day site operations and supporting Site Managers * Leading planning, programming, and progress tracking * Driving programme delivery and ensuring key milestones are achieved * Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring high standards of H&S compliance * Supporting the Project Manager with reporting and site performance * Helping to motivate and manage the wider site team Requirements * Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on education or healthcare projects * Strong background in traditional build construction * Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors * Excellent organisational and programme management skills * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential) * Strong leadership and communication skills The Opportunity * Join a business with a secure pipeline and strong regional presence * Clear progression opportunities as new sites are secured * Long-term career potential beyond the initial project * Annual bonus, pension, car allowance (as well as wear and tear car allowance).
