Sea Import Coordinator
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Benefits

As a Sea Import Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing ocean freight import shipments from origin through to final delivery across the UK. This position would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of shipments, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring customers receive a first-class service.

Managing Full Container Load (FCL) import shipments from booking through to final delivery
Coordinating with overseas partners and international offices to ensure smooth shipment movement
Liaising with shipping lines regarding vessel schedules, container availability, and operational updates
Working alongside customs teams to facilitate timely clearance of cargo
Arranging UK haulage and final mile delivery requirements
Coordinating with warehouses, depots, and third-party logistics providers
Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving any operational issues
Maintaining accurate shipment records and documentation, including Bills of Lading
Working closely with internal departments to ensure cargo is released and delivered without delay
Supporting service delivery for key customer accounts and ensuring operational commitments are metWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience within FCL import operations is essential
Strong understanding of ocean freight processes and shipping documentation
Knowledge of carrier operations, vessel scheduling, and container management
Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Experience working within a freight forwarding environment
Customs knowledge would be advantageous but is not essentialPersonal Attributes

Self-motivated and able to work independently
