SEMH Supply Teacher – Specialist Schools Oldbury | Walsall | Wolverhampton Weekly Pay | Flexible 1–5 Days | Term Time Only | PAYE NOW Education is currently recruiting qualified teachers (QTS) who are interested in flexible supply teaching opportunities within SEMH specialist schools across Oldbury, Walsall and Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist provision to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom may have experienced trauma, disrupted education, or behavioural challenges. Our partner schools are seeking confident, resilient and adaptable teachers who can provide high-quality teaching and strong classroom leadership within supportive specialist environments. We are looking for teachers who are available to work between 1 and 5 days per week, offering flexibility while making a meaningful difference to pupils who require consistency, structure and positive role models. The Role As a supply teacher within SEMH provisions, you will deliver engaging lessons while supporting pupils’ behavioural, emotional and social development. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment that enables pupils to access learning successfully. Key Responsibilities * Deliver lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and lesson plans * Manage behaviour using positive behaviour strategies and clear boundaries * Build positive relationships with pupils who may have SEMH needs or behavioural challenges * Support pupils’ emotional regulation and engagement with learning * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and pastoral teams * Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment What We’re Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status - QTS (essential) * Experience working with pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, or within alternative provisions (desirable) * Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills * A calm, resilient and adaptable teaching style * Flexibility to work 1–5 days per week across different SEMH settings * A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners Why Work With NOW Education? * Flexible supply work that fits around your availability * Opportunities within a network of supportive SEND specialist schools * Competitive PAYE daily pay * Opportunities to move into long-term or permanent roles * Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant * Access to relevant CPD and safeguarding training Interested?
