Maintenance Engineer

We're partnering with a rapidly growing, family-run engineering firm in Witham, known for delivering expert machinery and production line maintenance across the East and South East. They're now seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled, supportive, and close-knit team. This role is ideal for a mechanically biased engineer with some electrical know-how - particularly those with experience in FMCG environments who enjoy variety and time on the road. What's on Offer Up to £21 per hour, depending on experience Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Overtime paid at one and a half times your hourly rate Travel time paid (to and from site, starting from Witham) Holiday buy-back and loyalty bonus schemes Permanent, full-time role with long-term progression Supportive team in a stable, growing business The Role Carry out on-site maintenance and repair work across client facilities Diagnose and fix mechanical faults, with some electrical involvement Inspect, repair, and rebuild conveyor systems and machinery Respond to breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance What We're Looking For Strong mechanical engineering background, or automotive experience such as engine rebuilds Basic electrical maintenance experience Previous experience in FMCG or fast-paced production environments is a big advantage Self-motivated, flexible, and reliable Full UK driving licence is essential This is a permanent position following a successful three-month probation.
