Year 1 TeacherPrimary School – London Borough of Redbridge (LEA)

Start Date: September 2026Contract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: M1 – M6 (Outer London Pay Scale, £34,514 – £46,001 per annum)

We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher for a September 2026 start on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher to join a supportive setting, helping pupils transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1 and build strong foundations in their learning.

The role:You will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons that support pupils’ academic and social development. You will play a key role in developing early reading, writing, and maths skills, while fostering confidence and independence.

Has QTSHas a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 1 expectationsIs confident delivering phonics and supporting early literacy developmentCreates a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environmentMaintains high expectations for all pupilsWorks collaboratively with colleagues and support staffIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
