About the role
Manufacturing Technician
Location: Paisley
Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00
Manpower Scotland is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a busy and highly regulated production environment in Paisley.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join a fast-paced, high-quality production setting within the biotech sector. You'll play a key role in ensuring daily manufacturing requirements are met and that product quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.
What you'll be doing:
Manufacturing cell culture media and reagents following strict protocols and SOPs
Operating semi-automated and automated production equipment
Carrying out in-process testing to ensure products meet specification
Troubleshooting process, procedure, and product issues with support when required
Managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively
Using IT systems and equipment as part of the manufacturing process
Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Following all health, safety, and cleanroom procedures
Contributing to departmental goals and performance metrics
What we're looking for:
Previous manufacturing experience (essential)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-throughput manufacturing environment
Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude
Ability to work accurately in a regulated environment
Working conditions:
Cleanroom and manufacturing environment
Standing for long periods during shifts
Manual handling (up to 25 lbs)
Working with chemicals and hazardous materials (full training provided)
Requirement for flexibility and occasional overtime
