Dispatch Assistant  Location: Wolverhampton Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour Contract: Full Time Pertemps Wolverhampton are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client for a Dispatch assistant to join their busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with warehouse and dispatch experience to play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. The Role Reporting to the Team Leader, you will assist in the day-to-day coordination of orders through the packing and dispatch process, ensuring products are shipped efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for monitoring order progress, maintaining dispatch reports, and communicating effectively with both internal departments and external customers. Key Responsibilities Communicate with couriers and arrange collections. Support packing operations when required. Process export documentation and complete sales order transactions on the system. Coordinate dispatch requests with the warehouse team. Generate shipping labels and any additional documentation required. Monitor and process customer orders in line with delivery deadlines. Maintain accurate records and reports relating to dispatch activities. Liaise with internal departments and external customers, providing timely updates and resolving queries efficiently. Assist the Team Leader with the smooth running of daily dispatch operations. Skills & Experience Required Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Exposure to INCOTERMS would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. A team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
