Contract: 3–6 Months

Location: Remote (EU)

Rate: £300 per day

We’re partnering with a product-led business building AI-powered platforms and intelligent workflow systems used at scale.

They’re looking for a backend-leaning AI Engineer with strong TypeScript experience and proven experience delivering AI-powered products in production environments.

This role is heavily focused on backend systems, AI integrations, orchestration workflows, and scalable product engineering.

The Role

You’ll work across backend services, APIs, AI infrastructure, and automation pipelines, helping build and deliver AI-powered product features end-to-end.

A key part of the role involves integrating LLM functionality into production systems, including RAG pipelines, retrieval systems, agent workflows, and AI-assisted automation.

Required Experience

• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript
• Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend services
• Commercial experience working with LLMs in production
• Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines and retrieval systems
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and AI orchestration tooling
• Experience integrating AI functionality into live products
• Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred)
• Product-focused mindset with experience owning features through delivery
