Job Advert: Key Stage 2 Teacher – Full Time
Start Date: September 2026
Location: Burnley
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher to join our team from September 2026. This is a full-time post at a well-established, two-form entry primary school in Burnley with a strong reputation in the local area.
Our school benefits from good facilities and a positive, supportive atmosphere. Pupils here enjoy coming to school and have a genuinely positive attitude towards their learning, which makes teaching both rewarding and enjoyable.
We are keen to hear from teachers who are keen to make a difference in the classroom and who are committed to helping children achieve their best. You will be joining a friendly staff team where planning is shared across the year group, and there is a strong sense of working together.
The role will involve:
Teaching a Key Stage 2 class
Planning and delivering lessons that engage and challenge pupils
Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet pupils’ needs
Working closely with your parallel class teacher and wider team
Contributing to the wider life of the school
We are looking for someone who:
Has Qualified Teacher Status
Has high expectations of pupils’ learning and behaviour
Builds positive relationships with children and colleagues
Is organised, reliable and willing to get involved in school life
Brings energy and a positive approach to the classroom
This role would suit both experienced teachers and those at an earlier stage in their career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
