Interim Policy Team Leader - Cambridgeshire (Contract)

A local authority in Cambridgeshire is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Policy Team Leader for an initial 6-month contract, with a start date as soon as possible.
This role will involve leading and managing the Planning Policy Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring continuity of service and overseeing key workstreams. It's a great opportunity for someone with strong policy experience and proven leadership capability who can step in quickly and operate with a high level of autonomy.
Key responsibilities:
* Leading and managing the Planning Policy Team on a daily basis
* Ensuring continuity across ongoing policy workstreams
* Providing professional leadership and guidance to the team
* Overseeing delivery of key planning policy projects/progressing Local Plan preparation, including key stages such as Regulation 18 and 19
Additional details:
* Initial 6-month contract
* Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience
* Hybrid working arrangement
