A well-established and highly respected main contractor operating within the Channel Islands, delivering construction projects across a diverse range of sectors.
The business has built a strong reputation for quality, integrity and long-term client relationships, with a consistent track record of delivering high-spec residential, commercial, hospitality and refurbishment schemes, ranging from bespoke developments through to large-scale, multi-million-pound projects.
Operating with a full-service approach, they deliver projects from concept through to completion, maintaining a strong focus on quality-led delivery and high standards across all projects.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership position, taking full ownership of the Quality Assurance function within a leading main contractor.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing QA systems and procedures, ensuring quality is consistently delivered to the highest possible standard across all projects.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in influencing business-wide decisions, driving a culture of “right first time” delivery, and positioning yourself as a subject matter expert within the organisation.
This role offers complete autonomy, visibility and long-term impact — ideal for someone looking to move beyond maintaining systems and instead build and shape a QA function properly.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) systems, policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, building regulations and industry best practice
Carry out site inspections, audits and quality reviews across multiple projects
Drive a “right first time” culture, reducing defects and rework
Manage QA documentation, reporting and project handover processes
Identify and mitigate quality risks across projects
Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors on quality standards
Report into senior leadership and contribute to business-wide strategy and improvements Requirements
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager / QA Manager within a main contracting environment
Experience working on high-value construction projects (£20m–£50m+) across residential, commercial or mixed-use sectors
Strong understanding of high-spec construction, QA systems and compliance standards
Ability to implement, improve and lead QA processes, not just maintain them
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
