Mechanical Engineer Manchester Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm Salary: £37,000 per annum We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a permanent daytime role with excellent stability and career progression opportunities. The Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of mechanical equipment and machinery across site operations. You will play a key role in ensuring machinery performance, reliability, and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance * Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production equipment * Work on pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems * Support continuous improvement and reliability projects * Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely * Assist with installations and equipment upgrades * Complete maintenance documentation accurately Requirements * Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent) * Previous experience within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments * Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills * Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics desirable * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good understanding of health & safety regulations What’s On Offer * £37,000 annual salary * Monday to Friday daytime hours (8am–5pm) * Overtime opportunities available * Company pension scheme * Ongoing training and development * Supportive working environment with long-term prospects If you are a motivated Mechanical Engineer looking for your next challenge in Manchester, we would love to hear from you
