Financial Controller

The Role We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function within a fast-paced, contract-driven business. This is a key role focused on financial control, cash flow management, reporting, and commercial support across the organisation. Working closely with operational teams, you’ll provide financial insight, improve processes, and help drive business performance. Key Responsibilities * Produce monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and financial analysis * Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, invoicing, and supplier payments * Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations, and month/year-end processes * Support pricing, tenders, contract performance, and forecasting * Lead budgeting and reforecasting activities * Oversee payroll, VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance * Improve finance systems and processes, including Xero * Partner with operational teams to monitor costs and profitability About You * Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role * Strong management accounting and cash flow management experience * Experience using Xero * Hands-on and commercially minded * Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills * Experience managing and developing teams Benefits * 25 days holiday + birthday off * Pension scheme * Free on-site parking * Hours: 08:00 – 16:30
