Mechanical Assembly Engineer Location: Rochdale Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm / Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm Hourly Rate: Competitive. £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (depending on experience) Introduction ES Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join an established business based in Rochdale. The successful candidate will work on the assembly of high-quality equipment across the Food & Confectionery, Nuclear, and Pharmaceutical sectors. Key Responsibilities Carry out engineering assembly activities on a wide range of specialist equipment Follow engineering drawings, tolerances, and assembly procedures accurately Assemble intricate and precision-built components to designated standards Complete and follow all documentation and work instructions in line with company procedures Perform pressure testing procedures on a range of equipment Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed, including correct use of PPE Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment Support additional duties as requested by management Work on-site in the UK or overseas where required Qualifications & Experience Level 3 qualification or City & Guilds in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar engineering or mechanical assembly role Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and quality standards Flexible approach to travel and site-based work Contact Details For further information or to apply for this role, please contact the recruitment team directly
