We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
The successful candidate will have high expectations of pupils, a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, and a nurturing approach that supports both academic progress and personal development.
Job Title: Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher
Location: BarnoldswickContract: Temporary
Start Date: 1 September 2026Salary: £120 - £150 per day until AWR is addressed
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Create a positive, stimulating and safe classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track pupils’ progress effectively
- Provide appropriate support and challenge for all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school’s policies
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early childhood development
- High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A reflective approach and commitment to professional development
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply
