Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are seeking an experienced, confident Registered Manager to lead a childrens residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, trauma, and complex needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, developing teams, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
You will lead a dedicated staff team and take full responsibility for ensuring the service consistently delivers outstanding, child-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
As Registered Manager, you will direct the service while creating a supportive and empowering environment centred on the wellbeing of each young person.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating a team to deliver high standards of care
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the home
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
- Embedding a trauma-informed and child-centred approach
- Managing staffing, rotas, and resources effectively
- Always maintaining strong safeguarding practices
- Supporting and developing staff through supervision and mentoring
- Building positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Driving continuous improvement across the service
- Ensuring a safe, stable, and supportive environment for young people
Requirements:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who can lead with confidence and compassion.
You will need to have:
- Experience managing a regulated childrens home
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Valid DBS within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service) or willingness to complete a new one
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare), or working towards
- The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A resilient, proactive, and child-focused approach
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
