About the role

Key Features

  • Family Solicitor role within a long-established Legal 500 team
  • Run your own caseload with plenty of work to come into
  • Hybrid working, clear progression and a genuinely supportive culture

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded family law team in Leeds.

There is already a strong flow of work, meaning you’ll step into an existing caseload while continuing to build your own. The role mirrors what more senior team members are doing, just at a lower level, giving you the chance to develop your experience while remaining firmly fee‑earning.

You’ll be part of a Legal 500‑ranked family team that is focused on organic growth, client care and building a supportive, collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys running their own files, doing advocacy and being part of a growing team without stepping into a management role.

Who we’re looking for

  • 2–4 years’ PQE in family law
  • Experience running your own family law caseload without supervision
  • Exposure to divorce, financial remedy and private children work
  • Advocacy experience or confidence appearing in court
  • Friendly, supportive and collaborative approach
  • Strong‑willed and confident, but a genuine team player

What you’ll be doing

  • Running your own caseload of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
  • Managing lower-level family work with appropriate autonomy
  • Carrying out your own advocacy
  • Building and developing your caseload as new work comes in
  • Playing a part in business development and profile‑raising activity
  • Working closely with senior colleagues as the team continues to grow

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £32,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
  • Legal 500‑ranked family team with a strong reputation in the market
  • Excel‑accredited firm with a serious focus on client care
  • Hybrid working – up to 2 days working from home for full‑time staff
  • Part‑time working considered (minimum 3 days)
  • Clear progression opportunities, including promotion to senior solicitor level
  • Supportive, friendly team culture where people genuinely enjoy working together
  • Long‑term growth plans within the family department
