Planner - Major Infrastructure Programme (Plymouth, Devon)

Salary: Circa £65,000 + Comprehensive Package + Relocation Support
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-calibre Planner to join a flagship infrastructure programme, in Devon, with a value in the region of £200M-£400M. This is a major, technically complex scheme involving multiple stakeholders, phased delivery, and significant engineering challenges.
As part of a high-performing project team, you will take ownership of planning and programme management activities, ensuring the successful coordination of works across the lifecycle of the project. With delivery extending through to late 2029, this role offers long-term continuity and the opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant scheme from its current phase through to completion.
You will play a critical role in driving programme performance, providing strategic insight, and supporting decision-making at both project and senior leadership level.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and maintain fully integrated project programmes
Lead programme analysis, including critical path, float, and risk identification
Provide clear and accurate reporting on progress, performance, and forecasting
Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
Identify opportunities to optimise programme efficiency and mitigate delays
Support project controls, change management, and stakeholder reporting Requirements
Demonstrable experience as a Planner within major construction or civil engineering projects
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning software)
Experience working on large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project controls
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Security & Eligibility
