Class 1 Driver - Minimum 1 Year Experience Required - Blackburn The Best Connection are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well‑established client based in Blackburn. This is an ongoing position with both day and night shifts available, offering consistent work and competitive pay rates. Shift requirements are issued weekly, providing drivers with clear visibility of upcoming work. Night Work (Double Manned) Night shifts involve cage work, operating on double‑manned runs between depots. Night Shift Details: Start times between 17:00 and 18:30 Double manned Maximum of 6 drops Drops are to different depots Very little handball Minimum 8 hours paid per shiftNight Rate: £17.50 per hour Day Work (Single Manned) Day shifts involve standard artic work with minimal drops. Day Shift Details: Start times typically between 05:00 and 06:00 Single manned 1-2 deliveries on an artic Trailer swap usually required Clean, straightforward workDay Rate: £16.00 per hour Key Responsibilities Safe and professional operation of a Class 1 vehicle Completing cage deliveries and depot-to-depot trunking Working effectively as part of a double‑manned team on nights Completing daily vehicle checks in line with DVSA requirements Adhering to site rules and health & safety procedures Accurate completion of paperwork and delivery documentation Driver Requirements Minimum 1 year Class 1 (C+E) experience Full UK driving licence with CE entitlement Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude Comfortable working both day and night shifts, depending on rota Experience with cage work beneficial but not essential What's On Offer Ongoing work with consistent demand Weekly shift requirements provided in advance Weekly pay Supportive and experienced Driving Team Well‑organised client operation The Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
