KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Smethwick, Birmingham B67
Daily Pay Rate: £(Apply online only)
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
Are you a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to support children in the early years of primary education? A friendly and supportive infant setting in Smethwick is looking for a confident KS1 TA to join their team, providing classroom support, targeted interventions and dedicated SEN assistance.
This long-term role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a nurturing school environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes
Leading small-group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy
Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
Adapting activities to suit different learning abilities and styles
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupil progressWhat We're Looking For:
Previous experience working within a KS1 setting
Knowledge of phonics and early learning strategies
Experience supporting children with SEN and additional learning needs
A calm, patient and enthusiastic approach
