Job description: Overview We are seeking 2 vigilant and responsible Banksman. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction environments, and the ability to operate vehicles confidently. This role is essential for maintaining safety standards and ensuring smooth operations during lifting and manoeuvring activities. The position is paid and offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic construction team. Responsibilities * Direct the movement of lorries, cranes, and other heavy machinery on-site to ensure safe operations. * Use clear and effective communication to coordinate with drivers and machine operators. * Assist in the positioning of plant equipment and materials as required. * Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to identify potential hazards or obstructions. * Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE at all times. * Support site supervisors with additional tasks related to site safety and organisation as needed. Qualifications * Experience in construction or similar industrial environments is preferred. * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. * Valid driving licence with experience in operating or manoeuvring vehicles is desirable. * Strong awareness of health and safety practices within construction settings. * Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment. * Reliable, punctual, and organised with a keen eye for detail.
