- £105,000 Accommodation Rotation Living Allowance Blyth, England, United Kingdom (On-Site) We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, England.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a flagship mission-critical project, taking ownership of cost management, procurement, subcontractor accounts, and commercial delivery from project award through to final account.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Package Managers and the wider commercial team, ensuring projects are delivered on budget while identifying commercial risks and maximising value throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
Lead subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract negotiations.
Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Attend commercial, client and project review meetings.
Support Project Managers with commercial reporting and cost control.
Ensure contractual compliance and maintain project documentation.
Resolve commercial issues and drive successful financial project delivery.
Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
8 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
Strong commercial experience on large-scale construction projects.
Proven experience in cost control, procurement and contract administration.
Excellent negotiation, analytical and financial management skills.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices.
Previous experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial or Pharmaceutical projects is highly desirable.
