Catering Assistant

Job Title: Catering Assistant Location: Rotherham Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Contract: Temporary (12 weeks) Working Hours: 14:00 – 21:00 (8 hours) with 30 minutes unpaid break Job Overview We are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to support canteen and vending operations at our site in Rotherham. This is a 12-week temporary role ideal for someone with previous catering or food service experience who is reliable, organised, and able to maintain high hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities * Filling and restocking vending machines * Ordering and managing catering stock * Conducting regular stock takes * Cleaning and maintaining the canteen area * Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas * Refilling tea and refreshment points * Recording and monitoring fridge temperatures * Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are followed at all times Requirements * Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (essential) * Previous experience in catering, food service, or a similar role preferred * Good organisational skills * Ability to work independently * Reliable and punctual Additional Information * Temporary assignment for 12 weeks * Competitive hourly rate of £14 per hour
